From Punjab's 'Labinder' to Rajasthan's 'Labu Chori’, Labubu goes desi!
Not just the general public, but global superstars like Kim Kardashian, BLACKPINK’s Lisa Rose and Rihanna (to name a few) have all been spotted sporting Labubu companions.
This little Chinese doll with unmistakable wide eyes and cheeky grin has become an undeniable Internet sensation.
Meanwhile, Bollywood isn’t far behind. Stars like Ananya Panday, Disha Patani and Shilpa Shetty have been spotted proudly flaunting their own collection.
Entrepreneur Orissa Lee Patnaik is taking the trend to an exciting new level by infusing Labubu with incredible Indian flair. Through her creations shared on Instagram, she has transformed Labubu into a true desi icon, crafting a whole new series of dolls inspired by Indian states — each with its own charming, state-specific name.
Take a look at the creative names of the doll state-wise:
Punjab - ‘Labinder’
Odisha - ‘Labu Bou’
West Bengal - ‘Laboudi’
J&K - ‘Labu Jaan’
Kerala - ‘Lab Amma’
