Pakistani woman brutally trolled over 'copied' post for groom not driving fancy car to his wedding, user says ‘girl u made it weird by glorifying poverty’
Chandigarh, January 18
Fancy cars are most used in weddings. But a man in Pakistan chose to ditch luxury cars and opted for a modest Suzuki Alto for his ‘baraat’. An Instagram post has all good words for him.
Fascinated, by the simplicity, a Pakistani woman ‘shared’ it on X.
This car passed me by yesternight. And I couldn’t help but ask the family to stop and let me just click the car’s photograph.
The car is a Suzuki Alto, and has been mildly decorated for a wedding. You see, most of my friends and family don’t imagine themselves Driving an Alto… pic.twitter.com/zrdnlXxUwf— Ayesha Ali (@AyeshaKhan__ak) January 16, 2024
The post on X read: “This car passed me by yesternight. And I couldn’t help but ask the family to stop and let me just click the car’s photograph. The car is a Suzuki Alto, and has been mildly decorated for a wedding. You see, most of my friends and family don’t imagine themselves Driving an Alto when the subject matter is their wedding (it’s a Prado, Altis or a Civic). Yet here I am, sharing this photograph with all you guys. The groom clearly doesn’t care what people think about him, he knows that an Alto is what he can bring to the table, and he’s firm in his belief that it’s the best he can offer. You see, he could’ve just taken out a loan to get himself a civic but he opted not to. Our lust to impress people Jinsy hum shayad apni shadio par he milty hain often makes us debt trapped. Frugality, simplicity and humbleness are not qualities one should be ashamed of because show-offs often end up broken. Copied”
She was, however, brutally trolled over the copied post for groom taking no luxury car to his wedding.
One commented Suzuki Alto’s price is between PKR 22 lakh and 30 lakh in Pakistan, so it can’t be simple.
poor??? its a 30 lacs car

“This makes me cry. 30 lac ki gari hai ye. How is this poor. Then what am i,” commented one user. Another chimed in, “Baji 30 lakh ke car simple hai??? Aah another daddy’s girl.”
Copied post from a guy on Instagram
Why are people just automatically assuming the intentions behind this post lol? This original post was made by an Instagram account called 100kaamhain (please give credit). He’s a person who helps helps disabled animals along with his other teammates.

Another said, “I can’t imagine what world you are living in. I’ve seen multiple people using their own Alto and similar cars for weddings. You are just exaggerating the normalised things…Imaging thinking the Alto’s just a 10 lac worth car or somethin.”
