‘Govinda should not be my husband in next life’: Sunita Ahuja reveals differing lifestyle choices leading to their divorce

Bollywood veteran Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja are reportedly heading for divorce after 37 years of marriage.

According to Zoom TV, the couple has been living separately for quite some time now, though neither of them has issued an official statement regarding the speculation.

Sources suggest that Govinda and Sunita’s differing lifestyle choices have led to increasing distance between them. Further, reports from Bollywood Now claim that Govinda’s alleged involvement with a Marathi actress may have contributed to the rift.

In an interview with Hindi Rush, Sunita shared details about their living arrangement, revealing that they reside in separate homes. Sunita mentioned that while she lives in their apartment with their children, Govinda often stays at their bungalow due to his late-night meetings and social gatherings.

“We have two houses—our flat and a bungalow opposite it. I live in the flat with my son and daughter, while Govinda prefers staying at the bungalow as he enjoys late-night chats and meetings. He loves talking, so he gathers people and spends time with them,” Sunita said.

When questioned about Govinda’s romantic side, Sunita humorously said, “I have told him that in my next life, he should not be my husband. He never takes vacations. I enjoy going out and having street food like pani-puri with my husband, but he is always busy with work. I don’t recall a single instance when we went to watch a movie together.”

Govinda and Sunita tied the knot in March 1987 but kept their marriage under wraps until the birth of their daughter, Tina, in 1988. Later, the couple welcomed their son, Yashvardhan, in 1997.
