Internet sensation 'Khan Sir', whose “classes” on YouTube are raved about, has been subjected to heavy trolling ever since his wedding reception video went viral on social media platforms.
While his fans and followers sent well wishes to the couple, some netizens criticised him for having his wife's face covered with a 'ghoonghat'.
Khan Sir, a well-known personality in the field of teaching and famous for providing quality education to UPSE aspirants online free of cost, recently got married to a government officer from Bihar.
The bride, who was introduced as A.S. Khan by the educator, was seen veiled in their wedding reception video, after which the educator was heavily trolled online for his “conservative” approach.
Khan later addressed the ‘ghooghant controversy’ during a podcast. He revealed that it was his wife’s own decision to wear a face veil at the reception. In fact, it was her childhood dream to wear a veil, he said. According to the educator, his wife wanted to stand out of all the well-dressed people by wearing a face veil.
“She said since everyone would already be well dressed at the reception, the veil would help her stand out. I told her people would blame me, to which she replied, 'No, it's my childhood dream'. She was stubborn that she wanted to be this way, and at the end, I said okay," he said during a podcast.
Khan Sir also said that these trolls did not affect him as “we come from a village and can’t leave the village behind”.
