‘Kids, women watching’; Navjot Sidhu calls Travis Head's celebration of Pant's wicket 'obnoxious'
The obscene celebration by Australian Travis Head after dismissing Rishabh Pant in the Mebourne Test has received a lot of flak.
Head may have been a game-changer, but his gesture of celebrating the wicket led to a backlash on social media.
Several fans have called his gesture 'obscene'. Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Sidhu has also slammed the Australian batter.
"Travis head's obnoxious behaviour during the course of the Melbourne test doesn't auger well for the gentleman's game...... sets the worst possible example when there are kids, women, young & old watching the game....... this caustic conduct did not insult an individual but a nation of 1.5 billion Indians......stringent punishment that would serve a deterrent for the future generations needs to be slapped on him so that no one dares follow suit !!!," Sidhu posted on X.

- Travis Head was clearly a ploy to tempt Rishabh Pant into playing recklessly.
- It’s just the first over, yet Pant is already going for big shots.
- Australia’s plan paid off.
But what does Travis Head’s celebration even mean?
