Despite the TTC supervisor's attempts to calm her down, she continues to defend him, even revealing, "My boyfriend is Indian".
The video has garnered nearly a million views, with many praising the woman's bravery. Some users, however, have reacted with mixed feelings, with one commenting on the unexpected twist of her revealing her boyfriend's Indian heritage. The incident highlights the ongoing issue of racism faced by Indians in Canada, with some users sharing their own experiences of facing racial taunts.
"Racism just brings out human insecurity so cleanly. They don't like it when one community does better and turns to racism. Just be better at what you're supposed to be," one user wrote.
Another reacted, "The guy recording is a total loser. No courage to even show his face. Imagine being so pathetic that you go around hunting for someone to be racist with. Sad.”
