The long-standing legal and personal dispute between Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami and his estranged wife Hasin Jahan has taken a new emotional turn.

In a recent Instagram post, Hasin shared a heartfelt message alongside a video clip, expressing both lingering affection for Shami and deep frustration over the years of conflict.

Set to the romantic song “Tere Liye Main, Mere Liye Tu…”, the video was accompanied by a lengthy caption in which Hasin declared, “I love you”, addressing Shami directly. She wrote, “Don’t worry, my love. Until death, we will have a strong bond, Insha Allah. You just have to decide what kind of bond that will be.”

Despite the emotional tone, the post also included pointed accusations. Hasin questioned what Shami had gained from the seven-year-long legal battle, alleging that his character, greed, and decisions had destroyed their family.

Hasin accused Shami of spending money on “wrong people and prostitutes” instead of providing a better life and education for their daughter. She also claimed that he hired criminals to defame, threaten, and harass her over the years.

“If the money you wasted had been spent on your daughter’s future and on giving me a good life, we could have lived a life of dignity and avoided sin,” she wrote.

She described herself as still standing strong, thanks to her faith: “I have the strength, patience, and endurance that only Allah could have given me. You can take the support of criminals from around the world, but you can’t harm me—because Allah is with me.”

Hasin also criticised what she called a male-dominated society and vowed to continue seeking justice through legal means.

“I will take all my rights through the law and live happily, Insha Allah.”

Hasin Jahan and Mohammed Shami were married in 2014. In 2018, their relationship became public fodder when Hasin accused Shami and his family of domestic violence, attempted murder, and mental harassment. She even alleged match-fixing, though Shami was later cleared of that charge by the BCCI’s Anti-Corruption Unit.

Recently, the Calcutta High Court ordered Shami to pay Rs 4 lakh per month as maintenance to Hasin and their daughter. While Hasin earlier called the amount insufficient, her latest post suggests a more emotionally complex and reflective mindset.
