Palash Muchhal's proposal to ex goes viral after wedding with Smriti Mandhana delayed
A viral picture shows an elaborate proposal setup, fuelling speculation that Palash may have been engaged before dating Smriti
Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and singer Palash Muchhal's highly anticipated wedding was abruptly postponed just hours before the grand ceremony on November 23. The reason cited was Smriti's father, Shrinivas Mandhana, suffering heart attack-like symptoms, which led to his hospitalisation.
Apparently, there have rumours circulating social media that Palash Muchhal cheated on Smriti Mandhana.
Meanwhile, the Internet is abuzz with unverified theories, including the resurfacing of old photographs of Palash with his former girlfriend, Birva Shah, a plastic surgeon. One picture shows an elaborate proposal setup, fuelling speculation that Palash may have been engaged before dating Smriti.

However, The Tribune cannot confirm the authenticity of the circulating images.
Palash reportedly began dating Smriti in 2019 after being introduced through mutual friends. The couple went public about their relationship only last year.
Adding to the speculation, Smriti has removed her engagement announcement video from Instagram, featuring teammates Jemimah Rodrigues, Shreyanka Patil, Radha Yadav and Arundhati Reddy. The clip, which showcased Smriti's subtle reveal of her engagement ring, has also been deleted by her teammates, further fuelling online rumours.
Palash's mother revealed that he was extremely close to Smriti's father and was emotionally affected by the situation. "He cried so much that his health suddenly deteriorated," she shared.
The wedding postponement has sparked a mix of concern and speculation among fans, with many expressing their support for the couple.
