‘Selling samosas won’t define my future’: Noida’s 18-year-old samosa seller cracks NEET UG

Alakh Pandey, founder of Physics Wallah, shared an inspiring story of 18-year-old Sunny Kumar, a samosa seller from Noida who cracked NEET UG with impressive scores. Despite juggling his studies and running his stall for four to five hours every day, Kumar achieved 664 marks out of 720 with just one year of preparation.

Pandey visited Kumar’s home and was astonished to see his room filled with notes. He praised Kumar for his dedication and hard work. Kumar shared his journey, revealing that he studied all night, often causing eye strain, and chose Biology to understand how people are cured.

Pandey, impressed by Kumar’s determination, offered him a Rs 6 lakh scholarship and promised to cover his medical college tuition fees. Kumar, who has been studying at Physics Wallah since Class 11, is determined to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor, and said, “Selling samosas won’t define my future.”
