A viral Instagram reel has taken social media by storm, showcasing Bengaluru’s streets covered in a thick, snow-like foam.

The video, which surfaced after a spell of rain, highlights the unusual sight of foam accumulating along the roads, sparking curiosity and conversation online.

The video is said to be of NIMHANS Dairy Circle area.

Bengaluru has moderate temperature throughout the year, the foam gave the impression of fresh snowfall.

The reel, shared on Instagram by @milanfied, gathered around 5.8M views. The caption read, “Does anyone know what’s happening? Bangalore’s streets turned into a foam party after an unexpected summer rain!”

Netizens were quick to react to the viral video.

A user sarcastically said, “It’s because I dropped my detergent box.”

Another commented, “Yesterday while heading back home I thought this was new Manali Bangalore Yojna scheme under which artificial snow is created and spread onto the road.”

Some even labelled it as an effect of pollution.

Explaining the scenario, a user commented, “It’s caused due to the impression of soapnuts fallen from the soapnut tree (Shikakai) when raindrops fall over them and simultaneous vehicular movement causes foam like appearances…these are common.”
