Spanish-Indian model turns heads as she wears red 'lehenga' on the streets of London

A video of a young Spanish-Indian model wearing a red wedding ‘lehenga’ on the streets of London has gone insanely viral on social media.

Since being shared on February 1, the reel on Instagram has over 27 lakh likes, and more than 44 million views.

The reel, shared by Shraddha, showed her first take a ride on the London tube, while being dressed as a bride in a red embroidered ‘lehenga’. She also wore heavy jewellery.

As she enters the train, all eyes are on her as she looked gorgeous in the dress. Some of the people were also seen clicking pictures of her.

On the streets too, people seemed to be fascinated with her choice of clothes and they kept turning and looking at her.

“Giving y’all anxiety through the screen,” the video caption read.

The text insert on the video reads, “Reactions to a desi top and skirt in London.”

The video has received mixed reactions from internet users, some of whom appreciated her confidence, while some criticised her for ”attention-seeking behaviour”.

Meanwhile, some loved the fact that she felt comfortable and applauded her for embracing her cultural identity.

One user said, “Gorgeous! Yes to wearing what you like where you like!” Another said, “Her confidence level.”

“In India people will think you are a runaway bride,” wrote another.

“Proud of Indian Culture,” wrote one.

While some were not amused, saying it was “Embarrassing, Who wears a wedding lehnga & goes to streets or metro stations like that? People don’t even do that in India.”

Another said she was trying to seek attention in the name of “cultural appreciation” to get some likes and followers.
