Rashtriya Janata Dalleader Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday shared a video on Twitter, where he can be seen playing cricket at his Patna official residence with his staff members. Tejashwi, however, had played the game professionally for a while in past in anticipating of a career but the reason of going back to a makeshift cricket field this time is perceived differently by netizens.

Clad in T-shirt and shorts, the leader of opposition in Bihar assembly seems to have taken the counsel of PM Narendra Modi seriously as latter reportedly advised him to lose weight and get rid of his roly poly look.

Tejashwi, thus, can be seen playing some fine shots on medium pace deliveries lobbed at him.

“Life or game, one should always play to win. The more you plan in head, the more you perform on field. Pleasure to try hands on bat & ball after ages. It becomes more satisfying when driver, cook, sweeper, gardener & care takers are your playmates and keen to hit & bowl you out,” the caption of the post reads.

PM Modi, on July 12, was in Bihar at the inauguration of the Bihar Bhavan Memorial Column in the state assembly and had a conversation about Tejashwi’s health. “Wazan Kam Karo (reduce weight)," PM reportedly told 32-year-old Tejashwi at the function where both the leaders had a brief conversation on health.

Interestingly, Tejashwi Yadav has a great experience in cricket, as he was the part of IPL team Delhi Daredevils in 2008-09. He was also selected for the state-level Jharkhand cricket team in 2009. The leader gave up his cricket career in 2013 and joined politics.
