Viral video: ‘Dal with 24 carat gold tadka’, tried chef Ranveen Brar’s Dubai delicacy yet; most exclusive but something that you can afford once in a while

Ever heard of a dal served with 24-carat gold. Chef Ranveer Brar is serving this special dal at his restaurant in Dubai.
‘Dal Kashkan’ is served in a wooden chest, with a tadka of powered 24 carat gold instead of the spices, making it the most exclusive but something that most people can afford once in a while.
Shared on Instagram food page, a video showed the restaurant manager unveiling their acclaimed ‘KashKan Daal’.
It is priced at 58 dirhams (about Rs 1,300).

This Daal KashKan is infused with 24k gold and meticulously prepared with premium spices and pure ghee. The footage depicts the gold-dusted Tadka served in a separate bowl alongside the Daal. During the serving ritual, presented in an ornate wooden box to amplify its exclusivity, the ‘Gold’ Tadka is ceremoniously poured onto the Daal in full view of the guests.
The video had funny comments to it. One wrote: “What’s the end result.. Gold nuggets!? Then it’s worth eating”. “So this dal was preserved in this ‘Sanduk’ for how many years ???” wrote another.
