Online video slamming Indian flight passengers’ behaviour sparks resounding agreement
A video posted by Instagram user Inderjit S Pannu about why we all need to appreciate airline crew members who deal with Indians on domestic flights has received a flurry of positive reactions and comments.
In the video, Pannu talks about the irrational and entitled behavior of Indian flyers, whom he refers to as “jaahil log” and “padhe likhe jaanwar”, and why the stewards and air hostesses who deal with them deserve more praise and gratitude. He cites the example of people who get in line as they board their flights without paying any heed to which seat numbers are being called on despite the announcements making it clear. He also talks about how they refuse to stay put and insist on using the restroom even when the pilot announces that the aircraft is facing turbulence.

The comments under his video are almost all in agreement, with many people praising him for speaking out on the issue. Airline staff members have also thanked him for his acknowledgement of their work. Some users commented saying that this kind of behavior is not limited to domestic flights and that Indians are known for inconveniencing cabin crew even on international routes.
One user joked, “Wo ‘Safar’ karte hain isliye aviation staff ‘suffer’ karte hain”. Another commented, “Flight staff are good but their bosses are complete jack asses. So they have to face the music since the bosses are too cowardly to face the issue”. One among the many comments from airline staffers said, “I flew for almost 12 years as a cabin crew incharge, Thank you for speaking out and acknowledging the efforts of the crew members.”
