The stars aligned — awkwardly — at Wimbledon 2025 when star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, his wife actress Anushka Sharma, and actress Avneet Kaur were spotted at the same match. Yes, the very same Avneet Kaur who was at the center of Virat’s much-talked-about Instagram controversy just months ago.

While Novak Djokovic cruised past Alex de Minaur to reach the quarterfinals, the real match was playing out in the stands.

Photos of Virat and Anushka looking unusually serious (Anushka on her phone for most of the game) quickly went viral.

Meanwhile, Avneet posted her own Wimbledon moments from the same game on Instagram Stories and in a post.

In May, Virat was caught in a mini social media storm after he “liked”—and then “unliked”—Avneet’s Instagram photo. He later clarified that it was an algorithm glitch, saying: “There was absolutely no intent behind it... I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made.”

But the internet detectives weren’t about to let this new twist go. The “accidental like” saga just got a surprise sequel — live from Centre Court.

Coincidence? Maybe. But for the internet, this was a plot twist they didn’t see coming.

Netizens had thoughts — and plenty of memes

As soon as photos and stories from Wimbledon surfaced, the internet wasted no time reacting to it.
