In a chilling case from Karimnagar, Telangana, a woman has been arrested for allegedly murdering her husband with the help of her lover and his friend, using a method she reportedly learned from a YouTube video.

According to a report in the Free Press Journal, the woman, identified as Ramadevi, her lover Karan Rajayya, and his friend Srinivas have all been taken into custody by the police.

The victim, Sampath, worked as a library cleaner and was married to Ramadevi. The couple had two children. Sampath was addicted to alcohol and often allegedly quarreled with his wife when drunk. To support the family financially, Ramadevi ran a small snack shop.

It was through this shop that she met 50-year-old Karan Rajayya. Over time, their friendship reportedly turned into an extramarital affair. Eventually, police say, Ramadevi decided to get rid of her husband.

Ramadevi allegedly searched online for ways to kill someone and came across a YouTube video that described a method involving the use of pesticide, specifically, pouring it into a person’s ear. She shared this idea with Rajayya, who agreed to help. The two then involved Rajayya’s friend, Srinivas, in the plan.

On the night of the murder, the trio invited Sampath to meet them near the Bommakal flyover. They gave him alcohol, and once he was heavily intoxicated and unconscious, Rajayya allegedly poured pesticide into his ear. Sampath reportedly died on the spot. Afterward, Rajayya called Ramadevi to confirm the murder had been executed.

The next day, Ramadevi went to the police and filed a missing person report for her husband. On August 1, Sampath’s body was discovered. Police became suspicious when both Ramadevi and Rajayya reportedly refused to allow a postmortem examination.

Adding to the suspicions, Sampath’s son urged the police to investigate further. Officials examined call records, CCTV footage, and location data, eventually leading them to the three accused. All three reportedly confessed to the crime.
