Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanashree Verma have officially ended their marriage after four years, completing the legal formalities for divorce with mutual consent.

According to reports in ABP news, the couple finalised their divorce at the Bandra Family Court on Thursday.

Despite undergoing a counselling session advised by the judge in an attempt to reconcile, the couple made it clear that they could no longer live together and wanted to part ways with mutual consent.

The reason behind their separation has been shared by the couple themselves. They revealed that in the initial years of years of their marriage, everything seemed fine, but over time, the bond between them weakened. Frequent arguments and a lack of mutual understanding led to growing distance, and after 18 months of living separately, they decided to part ways.

Yuzvendra and Dhanashree’s relationship began during the lockdown in 2020. The cricketer reached out to Dhanashree after seeing her dance videos on social media. What started as a friendly connection soon blossomed into love, leading to their marriage in December 2020. Unfortunately, after four years of marriage, the couple has now decided to go their separate ways.
