According to the law, motorists are required to stop at the designated zebra crossings once a pedestrian steps onto the crossing. However, it’s disheartening to witness in Gurugram that vehicles, including two-wheelers, continue to speed through, treating the zebra crossing as little more than a formality. Unfortunately, this situation persists at many crossings, forcing pedestrians to wait for vehicles to pass. All motorists must obey the law and stop at zebra crossings.

Choked sewerage in Sector 8
Poor civic conditions continue to prevail in Sector 8 here, making hundreds of residents suffer. While roads here have developed potholes, poor drainage has led to waterlogging. The roads here have become a breeding ground of malaria and dengue mosquitoes. The improper disposal of garbage and choked sewage system have exposed the tall claims of development by the authorities and the government as the tax payers continue to battle with civic issues.
