Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has lost the coveted blue tick that marks a verified account on the microblogging website Twitter.

It’s still unclear why Dhoni, captain of the Chennai Super Kings team and one India’s most celebrated sport star, lost his blue tick. Dhoni is not an active user of Twitter and instead uses Instagram to share posts. Dhoni, who’d led India to their second World Cup victory in 2011— had even used Facebook’s Instagram to announce his retirement from cricket last August.  His last tweet was some seven years ago.
