Bangladesh on Thursday said necessary documents had been sent to India to bring back former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and they would also sent a “reminder” to New Delhi.
On December 23 last year, Bangladesh sent a “note verbale”— a diplomatic communication between countries via diplomatic representatives, seeking Hasina’s expatriation from New Delhi. However, so far India has not responded to Bangladesh’s request.
“We continue to expect a response from India,” said Bangladesh Foreign Ministry spokesperson Rafiqul Alam said.
