Brazil’s federal health regulator Anvisa is analyzing a plan to authorise COVID-19 vaccines for emergency use in specific cases, allowing the vaccines to be administered without formal approval, according to a source with knowledge of the plan.

Anvisa did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
