New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India posted a marginal increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 3,792 crore for the first quarter ended June 30. The country’s largest carmaker reported a net profit of Rs 3,760 crore in the April-June period of the previous fiscal year.

‘India becomes 3rd largest solar energy generator’

New Delhi: India has outpaced Japan to become the third largest country to generate solar energy. This was stated by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Thursday.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
