Los Angeles: Stephen J Lawrence, a musical talent whose credits included 1972’s ‘Free to Be… You and Me’ and a prolific run on television series ‘Sesame Street’, passed away at Clara Maas Medical Center in New Jersey, aged 82. He received three Daytime Emmy awards for outstanding achievement in music direction and composition during his tenure on the show. IANS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
