Highway collapse in China’s southern Guangdong province leaves 19 dead, state media says

A section of a highway collapsed in southern China leaving at least 19 people dead, state broadcaster CCTV reported on Wednesday.

The area has been experiencing heavy rains in recent days, and rescue workers have taken 30 people to the hospital, the report said.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
