Pak to repatriate 1.3 million Afghans

Islamabad: The Pakistan government has decided to repatriate over 1.3 million Afghan refugees holding Proof of Registration cards from September 1, a media report said on Wednesday. The efforts to send back Afghan refugees began in 2023 when the government announced to expel all illegal aliens.

5 US soldiers shot at army’s Georgia base

Savannah: Five US soldiers were shot on Wednesday at the army’s Fort Stewart in Georgia, the base said in a social media post. Parts of the Fort Stewart in southeast Georgia were locked down after an active shooter was reported on the sprawling army post. The base houses thousands of soldiers.

New York: US President Trump has suggested that Vice President JD Vance is “most likely” the heir apparent to his Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement, while Secretary of State Marco Rubio can also join him in “some form”.
