India again flies aid to Cuba after Hurricane Melissa

A special aircraft from India carrying humanitarian assistance and disaster relief supplies landed in Cuba on

Friday, extending urgent support to the Caribbean nation reeling under the impact of Hurricane Melissa.

The consignment, weighing about 20 tonnes, includes a special BHISHM Medical Trauma Unit, medicines, electricity generators, tents, bedding, kitchen and hygiene kits, solar lanterns, and other critical items to support local recovery efforts.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
