Israeli strikes, gunfire kill 33 in Gaza

At least 17 people were killed in southern Gaza, more than half of them women and children, according to morgue records and health officials at Nasser Hospital. They said the strikes hit tents sheltering displaced families in Khan Younis.

11 people were further killed in attacks elsewhere, hospitals and the Palestinian Red Crescent reported.
Israel's military said it was not aware of a strike in Khan Younis at that site and was examining the other reports.
