One deadin a drive-by shooting at bus stop

Louisville: A drive-by shooting at a school bus stop on Wednesday morning in Kentucky left one student dead and another hospitalised, police said. A third child was injured by unknown means as the youths waited at the bus stop just west of downtown Louisville, authorities said. A car drove by and shot at the waiting children, some of whom were not injured, Louisville Metro Police Maj. Shannon Lauder said. AP

Kelly not to testify in trafficking trial

New York: R. Kelly said on Wednesday he will not testify in his own defense at his sex trafficking trial in Brooklyn, where the government accused the R&B singer of grooming and sexually abusing women and underage girls. Kelly, 54, announced his intention following 4-1/2 weeks of testimony from prosecution witnesses. Reuters

Blast at Pak girls’ school

Peshawar: A blast took place at an under-construction girls’ school in northwest Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Wednesday, police said. The girls’ middle school in Tank district of the province blew up as the explosive materials planted near its boundary wall went off with a big blast. PTI
