At least two people were killed and four others were injured on Tuesday after an Israeli strike on the Sabra neighborhood south of Gaza City, Gaza’s civil defence said. Israeli planes launched strikes on Gaza City after PM Benjamin Netanyahu accused the militant group Hamas of violating a ceasefire in the Palestinian territory. He ordered the Israeli military to carry out “powerful attacks” on the enclave, accusing Hamas of violating a ceasefire agreement in the Palestinian territory.
Hamas said it was committed to the ceasefire deal. Netanyahu earlier accused Hamas of violating the agreement by turning over the wrong remains in a process of returning the bodies of hostages to Israel.
