Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said Iran has never given up efforts to obtain nuclear weapons and that Israel will not allow Tehran to build them.

Addressing reporters with visiting US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, the PM made no comment about Iran’s accusation that Israel sabotaged its key Natanz nuclear site. “I will never allow Iran to obtain the nuclear capability to carry out its goal of elminating Israel,” he said. Iran says its programme is for peaceful purposes. — Reuters
