Your debut film Jatt Boys-Putt Jattan De did good business at the box office and got you an award. Did you expect such a response?
Yes, my first film Jatt Boys- Putt Jattan De did extremely well at the Box Office and I was very happy about the response given by the viewers.
What kind of hurdles did you have to overcome?
My producer was very supportive and I made sure that his trust on me and the film was absolute. There were many hurdles in the first film but our focus was more on the film.
How was the response to your second film Gun & Goal and the last one, 25 Kille?
Gun & Goal was an average film. It was an experiment on football and the hero was new. 25 Kille was a masterpiece that featured Guggu Gill and Yograj Singh.
Do you think Punjabi film industry will pick up once we are free of coronavirus?
Punjabis always accept challenges and we hope that this time also we will recover at a good speed.
Share the three mantras you follow while making a film?
My three mantras are good script, good music and good performances.
Do you think nature is supreme?
Yes, nature is always supreme and we should not forget that.
How are you spending your time at home?
I am reading books. I made some funny videos, wrote few scripts, wrote few songs and released two short films during the lockdown.
One thing about Punjabis that you like the most?
They are the real fighters and they always try to be positive.
If you have to recommend a place to visit in Punjab to an outsider, which place will it be and why?
The Golden Temple in Amritsar.
In Pollywood there are many good actresses. Whom do you consider the best and why?
Neeru Bajwaa is no doubt the best, who is rocking the Punjabi industry.
What lesson have you learnt from staying at home during the lockdown?
We should always control our ego and should stay grounded.
Once the normalcy returns what will be your priority?
We will complete our pending films and music videos.
