Gurjind Maan, who has written the story of Yaar Anmulle, says, “I would not say that this film is different from the rest. I would rather say it is not different and that will make it an interesting watch.”

Ask Yuvraj Hans and Harish Verma, what took them so long to come up with a sequel and they both reply in unison, “Good story”. Yuvraj continues, “We both have heard two scripts earlier and were not happy with it and this one fits the bill and to be very frank after listening to the script my first question was whether Harish Verma is in it or not. And thankfully he had already said yes, which convinced me that this one will do great.”

The camaraderie that Harish, Yuvraj and Prabh Gill share off screen can convince anybody that they have had fun working together and the audience will be able to notice it on screen as well.

On being asked about his focus on films more than music, Yuvraj replies, “The reason is same. I am selective, it is not that I don’t want to do music but my focus is to produce good content both in movies as well as music. I have been scolded by Harish also for being absent in the music scene of Punjabi music industry. As of 2020, I am planning to release five to six songs and it was on my to-do list for 2020. Some songs are finalised but for my focus was more on this movie, I planned to postpone the release of my songs.”

Prabh Gill feels Yaar Anmulle Returns is a big opportunity for him. He says, “I know there are many who believe that since we are singers and have done many music videos, it is easy to do a movie. But, I found it very tough and I just hope my fans would like me as an actor.”

To make it appealing to a wider audience, director Harry Bhatti tried to blend different cultural backgrounds like Himachali, Haryanvi and Punjabi. Recalling the success of Yaar Anmulle, Yuvraj adds, “Getting to work in its sequel is nothing but good luck for me. I am looking forward to see audience response to Yaar Anmulle Returns.”

Directed by Harry Bhatti, the film is produced by Amandeep Sihag, Adamya Singh, Amandeep Singh, Mithu Jhajhra, Dr Varun Malik and Pankaj Dhaka. They all hope that the movie does not bear the brunt of Coronavirus (Covid-19) and director went on to say, “I am really hoping that coming 27th, the temperature also rises to 27 degrees so that Coronavirus is no longer a barrier between our film and the audiences.”
