Govt committed to empowering weaker sections, says CM Saini Tribune News Service Kurukshetra, May 23 Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to inclusive development, stating that the BJP administration was dedicated to uplifting the underprivileged and ensuring equitable access to welfare schemes. Speaking at the state-level celebration of Maharishi Kashyap Jayanti, the Chief Minister said, “The double-engine government has been working for the welfare of all sections of society. The previous governments used to work for the development of a few sections only, but over the past 10 years, the government has been working to strengthen people belonging to the economically weaker sections and provided benefits of government schemes at their doorsteps.” Emphasising the inclusive governance model, he said, “The BJP government is working with the spirit of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” and cited the successful implementation of several welfare initiatives. Paying tribute to Maharishi Kashyap, Saini described him as a symbol of Indian culture and spirituality. “The Kashyap community has made a significant contribution to nation-building,” he said. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set an ambitious goal of transforming India into a developed nation, a global leader, and a cultural superpower by the year 2047. We are confident that the Kashyap community will play a pivotal role in achieving this vision.” The Chief Minister also highlighted the Sant-Mahapurusha Samman Vichar Prasar Yojana, under which the state aims to propagate the teachings of great saints and historical figures. “The state government is committed to spreading the messages and teachings of great spiritual and historical figures,” he added. “The government has consistently worked to empower the poorest families, guided by the principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas.” During his address, Saini also spoke about developmental efforts, stating, “The BJP government has fulfilled 19 promises made in its election manifesto, and 90 others will be fulfilled soon. The government has been working at a rapid pace for the development of the state.” He said development projects worth nearly Rs 110 crore were underway in the Ladwa Assembly constituency. The CM made several key announcements during the event. He said a government institution in the state and a chowk in Ladwa will be named after Maharishi Kashyap. Additionally, he announced a grant of Rs 21 lakh each for the expansion of Kashyap Rajput Dharamshalas at the pilgrimage sites of Kurukshetra and Kapal Mochan. A plot of land will also be allotted for constructing a new Kashyap Rajput Dharamshala in Ladwa, Kurukshetra, or Indri, subject to a feasibility review. He assured the gathering that all other demands presented would be sent to the departments concerned for feasibility assessment and would be addressed on a priority basis. The event was also addressed by MLA Ramkumar Kashyap, Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi, and several other BJP leaders.
