A group performed the Gujarati folk dance amid Vadodara's flooded streets. A brief snippet of people performing Garba on the streets has been making the rounds online. The footage, which may have been recorded on Janmashtami, showed people walking in knee-deep water on the road while enthusiastically performing Garba. Loud applause accompanied the fun as background music was played on the loudspeaker.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
