Tension heightens after drone attacks in Manipur, DGP Rajiv Singh visits violence-affected areas Manipur DGP Rajiv Singh visited the violence-affected areas at Kadangband and Koutruk in Imphal on September 3. Speaking on his visit, Manipur DGP Rajiv Singh said, “This (drone attack) is a new thing which has happened. Manipur Police has already tweeted, it has been escalated and we are taking it very seriously. We have spoken to everybody from here to Delhi. In Delhi, we have also spoken to DG NSG and his team. Other experts are coming in, and we have formed a committee as well to look into the drone and counter it...We will find out a solution at the earliest. We have a few things to counter, we are trying to deploy that also. Plus, our operations are underway in hill areas where attacks have taken place...Recoveries have also been made today as well as yesterday. The combing operation will continue...The Centre is also providing all support to us, they are also worried. We are trying to gauge to see how to tackle and we are working towards it...About 198 companies of Central forces are here, apart from Assam Rifles. Everyone will combine and work together...I have spoken to the Core Commander as well as the Assam Rifles and all IGs, they are also very serious. DG Assam Rifles has come today and he is also trying his level best. So, everybody combined as a team is working together along with the State Govt. The CM is also taking it very seriously and he has been talking to several people on different fronts. We will not spare whoever has done it...” #Manipur #Imphal #manipurnews #latestnews
