Theatre artist & TV and film actor Payal Kapoor Nair says theatre gives you discipline but not money

Payal began her film career with Ram Gopal Verma’s Jungle. She has done some notables roles in Hansal Mehta’s Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar, Onir’s Sorry Bhai and Milan Luthria’s Once Upon a Yime in Mumbai. Her recent films include Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak, Main Atal Hoon and Jewel Thief, streaming on Netflix. Payal has also acted in many serials, including Meher, Astitva, Bhabhi, Chand Chupa Badal Mein, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Anupama. A seasoned theatre artist and storyteller, she has acted in Urdu musicals and done solo performances of Ismat Chughtai’s short stories.
