The left-hander continues his sparkling form with a 101-run knock that sets India on the path to a big first-innings total against England in 1st Test

Pant reached the milestone during India's first Test against England at Leeds. In his innings, Pant smashed 134 in 178 balls, with 12 fours and six sixes. His runs came at a strike rate of over 75.
Indian batting coach Sitanshu Kotak praised India test skipper Shubman Gill after his majestic hundred on captaincy debut against England on Saturday, in the first of five test match series at Headingley, Leeds.
Pant's century, India's batting collapse, and England's brilliant batting performance made for a very enjoyable day of Test match cricket at Leeds. The hosts dominated the majority of the day. Pope continued his fine run at number three, scoring his ninth Test ton and second against India.
