The CBI has registered cases against the Commissioner of Customs, Inland Container Depot (ICD), Tughlakabad, former Deputy Commissioner, ICD, and a businessman who is owner of a well-known school on the allegation of favouring a private company in the release of duty drawback from ICD, Tughlakabad and ICD, Patparganj in Delhi. This had caused a loss of Rs 74 .61 crore to the government exchequer.
The CBI conducted searches at seven places in Delhi and one each in Gurgaon and Noida at official and residential premises of Atul Dixit, Commissioner Customs, ICD, Tughlakabad; Nalin Kumar, former Deputy Commissioner, ICD and Sahdev Gupta, a businessman.
