DDA transfers Dwarka water services to Jal Board

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has transferred all water services and maintenance of waterlines in the Dwarka sub-city to Delhi Jal Board (DJB).
DDA spokesperson said a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to this effect was signed between Chief Engineer (Dwarka), DDA and the Chief Engineer of DJB (South Zone).
As per the MoU, the DDA is to give Rs 50 crore to the DJB towards deficiency charges for water supply infrastructure which will be rectified by the Jal Board.
The balance amount would be transferred back to DDA after incurring the expenditure on fulfilling of deficiencies by the Delhi Jal Board.
The spokesperson said all residents of Dwarka sub-city were being advised to contact Delhi Jal Board for any water problem or deficiency in services and a public notice in this regard was being issued by the DDA shortly.
