The Delhi Jal Board is all set to launch its 'm-Sewa' mobile application to help people generate their water bills and make online payments in a hassle-free manner.
The details about the features of the new system were shared with around 35 RWAs during a two-day consultative pre-launch workshop of DJB's m-Seva, concluding today.
"DJB's m-Seva Android Mobile App is a one-of-its kind mobile application for self-bill generation and bill payment provided by any utility in the country. The idea is to provide maximum convenience to the consumers. DJB is empowering its consumers whereby they can generate water bills on their own by uploading the picture of their water meter," said Delhi Water Minister and DJB Chairman Kapil Mishra.
He said that m-Sewa will enable the consumers to generate their previous bills and receipts. Besides, it will help check the water consumption graph.
"The best thing about the m-Seva Mobile App is the simple and easy steps involved in using the app. A consumer no longer need to stand in queues at our cash collection centres or zonal revenue offices to pay bills," said DJB CEO Kesav Chandra.
