Unani Tibbi Cong demands national varsity

New Delhi, February 17

The All-India Unani Tibbi Congress (AIUTC) today demanded that the Unani and Ayurveda Tibbia College should be made National Unani University. 

They said the university should be named after Masehul-mulk Hakim Ajmal Khan, who revived Unani medicine and traditional Indian medicines. 

The AIUTC also criticised the AAP-led Delhi government for usurping the land of the historic Unani and Ayurveda Tibbia College at Karol Bagh. The AIUTC said the Unani and Ayurveda Tibbia College in Karol Bagh was established by Ajmal Khan. 

“The college should be made the National Unani University,” said Dr Syed Ahmad Khan, general secretary of the AIUTC. — TNS
