DTC to take action against erring drivers

As the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) was flooded with complaints against drivers who do not open gates of the bus at prescribed stoppages, it has decided to keep a check on them through inspection staff to ensure there is no inconvenience to passengers, an official of the DTC said.

The commuters faced these problems during late evening when the bus drivers are in hurry to reach their residences after parking the buses at depots. 

Besides, the DTC also received complaints that during the International Trade Fare the commuters at Pragati Maidan and other nearby stoppages faced major difficulties.

The official said to check this kind of complaint, the field checking staff has been instructed to report drivers not opening both gates and thus causing inconvenience to the boarding and de-boarding commuters.
