The attack was acknowledged by Pakistani authorities, with the Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, confirming it at a press conference.
Meanwhile, Indian military officials stated that the Indian armed forces thwarted attempts by the Pakistani military to engage a number of military targets in Northern and Western India last night and destroyed a Pakistani air defence system in Lahore.
Chaudhry said one drone crashed near Lahore, resulting in injuries to four soldiers. He claimed that drones were brought down in Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Bahawalpur, Miano, Karachi, Chhor, Rawalpindi, and Attock. "Other than these 12, one drone, however, managed to engage a military target near Lahore partially," DG Chaudhry said.
