violence today, armed Maoists attacked a police outpost and a
bus in Jharkhand, killing one policeman, while two CPM leaders
in West Bengal were killed. One of them was beheaded by the
suspected rebels.

minister Lalu Prasad Yadav got into trouble for allegedly
indulging in eve-teasing on New Year's Eve and were beaten up
by unidentified youths in south Delhi.

aircraft owned by the Punjab government is ready to resume
flight. It was grounded some years ago due to crucial repairs.
However, after repair, now it has been cleared for flying by
the director-general, Civil Aviation.
