Sonali Gupta
Sonali Gupta, LLB, PhD (UCLA), is a lawyer and anthropological archaeologist recognised as India’s first Egyptologist. She is the founder-director of the Himalayan Institute of Cultural & Heritage Studies (HICHS), founding president of the Himalayan Conservation & Preservation Society (HCPS, US), and serves as a Consultant with Communitology, a US-based organisation addressing issues of caste, gender discrimination, and climate-induced migration.
