A Chandigarh lawyer, Pankaj Chandgothia, was booked for defrauding a Punjab resident, Gurwinder Singh Walia, of nearly Rs 3 lakh. Chandgothia falsely promised to file a consumer court case regarding a defective vehicle. It was later revealed his license was previously revoked and no case was ever filed.
