AMRITSAR: A dental fortnight being observed by the Health Department to create awareness about dental hygiene and problems concluded here on Wednesday.

A dental fortnight being observed by the Health Department to create awareness about dental hygiene and problems concluded here on Wednesday. Deputy Director (Dental Health) Dr Sharanjit Kaur said as many as 7,783 persons were examined and given treatment during the fortnight campaign.

The department also provided free dentures to 210 needy patients. Dr Kaur said dental hygiene kits were distributed to 4,709 children in various schools. A total of 2,394 schoolchildren were examined, she added. — TNS
