Centre, Punjab govt don’t care about farmers, says Manish Sisodia

Amritsar, February 12

Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and AAP senior leader Manish Sisodia on Friday said no concrete efforts were being initiated either by the Centre or the Punjab Government to break the impasse with the farmers.

4 bjp candidates in Mohali join AAP

  • The BJP received a jolt as four of its MC candidates from Mohali on Friday quit the party and joined the AAP, accusing PM Narendra Modi of adopting a dictatorial attitude.

On a visit to the holy city, he paid obeisance at the Golden Temple and Durgiana Mandir along with state AAP in charge and Delhi MLA Jarnail Singh.

Sisodia said the farm laws were enacted keeping in view the interest of a few corporate houses and the farmers’ plight was being ignored both by the Centre and the state government.

“It is a pity that farmers have been agitating for past many months, but the central government hasn’t done anything to resolve the issue. Nor have any serious efforts been made by Capt Amarinder Singh-led state government in favour of farmers. Both sides are hand in glove and concerned about their political motives only,” said Sisodia. On the ensuing civic polls, Sisodia appealed to the people of state to repose faith in AAP candidates on the basis of Kejriwal’s governance in Delhi for the past six years. — TNS
