Kurukshetra University on Friday launched a digital service through which students can apply for re-evaluation of examinations from their mobile phones.

Labour and Employment Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who launched the initiative, said the students need not come to the university from far off places as re-evaluation fees could now be paid online. The minister also uploaded results of 110 examinations taken by the KU in December.

Saini lauded the KU administration for streamlining examination system. He said there was a need to make the best use of information technology for the convenience of students and maintaining transparency.

He said KU had become a brand ambassador of quality education as it was among the 10 institutes of eminence who were recently granted financial support of Rs 100 crore each to boost research.
