Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma said: “We have upgraded the school. We have also deputed a principal there who will commence the admission procedure from tomorrow.”

The students feared eve-teasing and molestation by youths of other villages and hence, they demanded upgrade of the school up to Class XII, so that no girl from the village has to go to other place for further education.

Earlier in the day, around 10 girls were taken to the hospital as they fell unconscious during their hunger strike.
